What does Wayform add to Claude Code?

Wayform gives Claude Code access to your team’s shared plans and recorded decisions through MCP. A decision saved in one session can inform a fresh session, including a teammate using Cursor or Codex.

Claude Code already has instruction files and auto memory. Wayform is useful when you want decisions and plans to carry across teammates and supported agents. Keep your existing instructions. See how they fit together.

Connect the project

You need approved Wayform access and an active space. Follow the quickstart first if you haven’t created or joined one.

From your product repository:

wayform init --remote --clients claude
wayform login
claude mcp login wayform
wayform doctor

Setup writes the project MCP configuration and supported hooks. Complete GitHub sign-in, approve the connection when prompted, and open a fresh Claude Code session.

Save one useful decision

Here is an illustrative example. Ask Claude:

Save this decision in Wayform: use the existing GitHub login for team invitations because we don’t want a second auth system to maintain.

Check that the agent records it in the intended Wayform project. The point is to save the choice and its reason, rather than the whole conversation.

Verify it in a fresh session

Open a new session in the same repo and ask:

Search Wayform for our decision about authentication. What did we choose, and why?

Confirm that it retrieves the saved decision. Then ask it to plan team invitations using that decision. Supported session-start hooks provide context; an explicit search checks that the saved record is reachable.

If it cannot find the decision, check the project name, connection, and diagnostics. Troubleshoot setup.

Bring in a teammate

A teammate needs their own space membership and client authentication. Once they connect to the same project, their supported agent can retrieve the decision too. Walk through a handoff.

Wayform does not guarantee that an agent will follow every decision. Hooks depend on client support and service availability. Read the data and access details.
